That's snappier but it kind of implies that the belief comes from vanity - pacing undue value on nurture because it's the work they do. That may be true but it's not the same as saying that it's evolutionarily beneficial for them to believe their work is important.
When some people say, "Of COURSE I'm not a blank slatist!" but then insist that even a greater ON AVERAGE tendency for human female mammals vs. males to be "nurturing" (at minimum, to keep their infants alive) is just "socialization"--that's tabula rasa in extremis.

Modern culture has liberated women from being chained to babies unless they want to be, and that's a good thing! But both can be true: Certain traits ON AVERAGE can be stronger in one sex than the other, but modern culture prevents such traits from becoming a prison.
