If the brains of both males and females are far more sensitive to T than their reproductive systems, even slight variations from average T levels could elicit an effect. 2/

Which would, I think, explain your first question of: how can masculinised/feminised brains occur in the absence of masculinised/feminised reproductive systems? But again: I’m spitballing. End/

Yeah, I'd really like to see a list of gendered traits. Spencer Greenberg of Clearer Thinking did a meta analysis of studies & found that they don't really hold true most of the time.https://jessesingal.substack.com/p/how-different-are-men-and-women-really …

Here's a list of 65 "apparently universal sex differences" that appear to be "gendered" in that some are more male-typical and some are more female-typical across (all?) cultures https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0191886911001930 …pic.twitter.com/gUQ3wEYokk

Is there a gender difference in the assertion and denial of gender differences? What about this difference itself, if it exists?

Likely some ways women & men tend to differ (e.g., personality traits, social dominance orientation, religiosity, etc.) lead to some diffs here. But probably less gender, more personality/politics. Lots of culture-specifics, too. Here's study on ideology https://labs.la.utexas.edu/buss/files/2013/02/von-Hippel-and-Buss-2017.pdf …pic.twitter.com/wFE1PfeTTl

Clearly, this
is a nuanced nature-nurture examination. It's striking how some social constructionists vociferously deny they're "blank slatists," yet when presented with data on some traits (e.g. gender nonconformity/prenatal T), they categorically refuse to give an inch.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes
Then the argument immediately shifts to the accusation that researchers looking into AVERAGE sex diffs have an ulterior motive: Keep women barefoot and pregnant or doing menial service jobs. There's no middle ground, even if the researcher is a woman.
