/ The evidence for social contagion contributing to trans-identification for some kids/teens (and/or their parents) is becoming too overwhelming to ignore. And

/ Eventually (it could be soon, it may be years) it will be broadly recognized by the medical-psychological establishment that some youth have undergone medical interventions in error and appropriate "gatekeeping" will be reinstated. And

/ What is realistic: Medical transition for youth will be rare again, and desistance will no longer be a dirty word. Things are so warped now that activists claim it's "transphobic" if a kid finds peace in her own skin & avoids a life as a permanent medical patient.

/ Like Brie, 4thWaveNow as an entity (a small group of parent-moderators, researchers and writers) is open to reasoned discussion with (almost) anyone who wants to talk with us in good faith. We are not a monolith; our core group holds compatible but not always identical views.

Not knowing the backstory or the “research” referenced, all I can take from this post is that you’re “playing it safe” by not taking a position. What is your objective as an org if not to oppose the significant and life-altering medicalization of children? Why is it _ever_ OK?
