I had top surgery 4 years ago. I was very depressed & suicidal, I thought transition was my answer to why I hated myself. It wasn’t. Do you offer discounts for detransitioning ? I would like to have my breast back & I don’t want implants!

Unfortunately laws are currently being written that make detransitioning a crime that will land you in prison. The transgender advocacy organizations are committed to silencing detransitioners by whatever means they can..

@scotgov are proposing up to two years prison for making a false statement when you swear to continue living in your "acquired gender" until death. Hard to know where this leaves detransitioners.13 replies 38 retweets 106 likes -

That's the actual language?? You must continue "until death"??

Haven’t seen the wording but assumed it meant swearing that it was your current intention to live as that gender to death. As it can’t ever be proved that wasn’t your intention at that exact moment in time, (although it may have changed later) no one could ever be found guilty.

The devil is in the details--the language matters. And yes, seems unenforceable--and still wonder whether it's meant to protect against predators who pretend to be women to access same-sex spaces. For sure it isn't that? (Not a rhetorical question.)

Its existence allows TRAs to claim that there have been no abuses of the GRC procedure because there have been no convictions. But unless you record someone mins before they made the declaration saying “I don’t really mean this” the evidence to convict would never be found.
