I understand the distinction you’re making ... and yet they let her starve herself to death. Haven’t they heard of the cognitive impairments caused by starvation?

@SashaLPC I don't know if it's still true, but Anorexia used to have one of the highest mortality rates of all psychiatric disorders. It's complicated. - Show replies

It could be argued that it was a passive form of euthanasia. I would hope that a 17-year-old in Ireland or England would be force-fed in these circumstances.

Right--whether it was right to allow her to end her own life that way is definitely something to discuss. But the false reporting was that the State participated in ending her life via their euthanasia program.

It appears that she was repeatedly traumatised in medical care, refused ECT treatment and allowed by doctors to starve to death, which is every bit as unethical if not more so. https://mobile.twitter.com/pas_jeff/status/1136239486352920577 …

She was far too young to make that decision, but it wasn't euthanasia. What is the Parsons case?

Of course it's false. People can only get euthanasia if they got EVERY help available. A request can take years because of this and most don't get euthanasia.
