Yes! And our schools encourage silo-ing: "Oh, your kid is good at STEM? Let's put them in special STEM isolation so they never have to deal with other people!" Instead of, "Your STEM-obsessed kid will always be good at STEM so let's give them extra help w/ social interaction."

Autism hasn't skyrocketed in isolation. Many cases of autism are not genetic at all and are the product of a society that is itself becoming increasingly autistic and providing a breeding ground for its propagation.
