9. Who is spiking all these stories? What is their ultimate motive? It's beyond not wanting us to "look good." They won't even mention us in a BAD light (which we've suggested to some of the reporters). These editors/publishers don't want readers to *know we exist* full stop.

10. They don't want people to look at our site or Twitter feed and make their own decisions about us. Are we horrible, bigoted transphobes? Do we promote "conversion therapy"? Are we lying about the gender clinicians we have investigated, ALWAYS using their own words?

11. US journalism is a disgrace. It's dangerous & insidious because most Americans believe the Fourth Estate is devoted (as it once was) to the pursuit of (often uncomfortable) truths. So if citizens don't hear/read about something, why would they think they're missing anything?

12. Our follower count/hits have risen steadily over time, in spite of being shut out by the US MSM. But Twitter aficionados don't realize most people don't have the time or energy for social media or scouring websites for inconvenient truths. MSM editors know this too.

13. Because MSM editors know high-traffic websites/high-follower Twitter accounts aren't seen by the masses, they don't feel pressure to reveal the turmoil and controversy around trans issues **within liberal communities** and increasingly within the once-monolithic LGBT.

14. So liberal/MSM editors remain happy to promote (via their censorship by omission) false impression that only RW "bigots" have issues w/ Mastectomy Culture, epidemic of girls on T, rise in detransitioners, LGB adults & liberal parents critiquing aspects of trans activism.

15. One wonders how long US editors can ignore the ongoing coverage in the UK by the
@thetimes . Or the recent outbreak of concern in Sweden. International newspapers are seen and discussed in US newsrooms every day. At some point, will an editor with guts commit to a beat?1 reply 8 retweets 50 likes -

16. Because it will *have* to be a beat--not just a one-off OpEd. The only reason the controversy has legs in the UK is
@thetimes has published article after article, despite massive pushback from the usual suspects. Is there a single US editor who remembers their sacred mandate?1 reply 4 retweets 36 likes -

17. To give voice to the voiceless. To "afflict the comfortable"--in this realm, the Gender Industry (and its gurus) sweeping more and more youth into its "affirmative" maw--and "comfort the afflicted" (the detrans who've been harmed, the destroyed families).

18. Though this thread started with a lament about the censorship-by-omission of 4thWaveNow, it's not ultimately about us. It's about ALL the voices not being heard--particularly the detransitioners and desisters who themselves speak of being harmed.

19. It's about the choice made by US media--print and broadcast--to lionize celebrity gender doctors; relentlessly push "suicide or transition;" churn out puff piece after puff piece about "trans kids;" ignore the lesbians and gay men who don't march in lockstep with Big LGBT

20. It's about the deliberate decision taken by editors/publishers NOT to devote investigative resources to the more troubling aspects of trans activism; to be propaganda outlets, abandon the sacred duty of the Fourth Estate to tackle difficult issues w/the nuance they deserve.

21. One of the profound frustrations in all this: We are accused of anti-LGBT bigotry, when we have only fought for our LGB teens' right to mature without gender-doctor interference. Some of our kids have now desisted and are glad (now) for our efforts. http://thevelvetchronicle.com/path-of-desistance-childhood-interrupted/ …
