Whatever your views on the Caster Semenya controversy, watch an interview with her & other footage (off & on-track), then ask yourself: Is this a person who went through male (i.e., testosterone-fueled) puberty? If so, does this affect your opinion at all about the IAAF decision?

Yeyo @RealYeyoZaWhat an amazing load of anti-scientific crap. A huge red flag is that the authors never care to explain why men perform better than women in athletic events. If it's not partly due to higher levels of testosterone during development, what is the reason? https://www.nytimes.com/2019/05/03/opinion/testosterone-caster-semenya.html …Show this thread1 reply 0 retweets 3 likesShow this thread -
The issue is fairness in women's sport--nothing more or less. It's not about how Semenya identifies, decisions her parents may have made, intersex rights, or anything else. Either we base sport categories on objective criteria, or we cater to emotions/politics. It can't be both.

Gender identity is not relevant to performance in Sport. The science of SEX is. An XY chromosomal Male with sensitivity to the performance enhancing effects of testosterone has an unfair advantage in female sport. https://twitter.com/Clogbox/status/1123935655841677314 …
