US @NIH granted another $3.4 mill to Johanna Olson-Kennedy, Diane Ehrensaft, et al to study the "youngest transgender children," undoubtedly socially transitioned. What is this going to prove but "Affirmative care for everyone?" Does no one at NIH see the inherent ethical problems with this? How long is the study?

5 years. And yes, that's what it will "prove," since it's HIGHLY unlikely there will be a control group of kids who aren't socially (or otherwise) transitioned. These researchers have shown no interest in question of whether social transition increases persistence in a trans ID.
