"Whether a person identifies as a woman doesn’t determine belonging in a community founded on shared experiences of gendered injustice." Do shut up. Instead of tying themselves in semantic knots, Mt. Holyoke's overlords should just admit it's no longer a women's college. RIP.

Bottom line: skip college. "Then-president Lynn Pasquerella emphasized at the time that she still saw Mount Holyoke as a women’s college, but that the category of “woman” was political as well as personal, with room for anyone who experienced an interrelated set of gender-based-"

I went to a seven sisters and this makes me mad as all get out. Don't 'identify' as a woman? Don't go to a women's college. FFS why can't women have freakin anything? Why do men have to take everything from us?
-
Or go, but behave like a man at a women’s college—MHC has had natal men as students in the past. They didn’t insist on gender inclusive lang or get mad when it was called a women’s college, or that alums are collectively known as alumnae, despite the existence of an alumnus or 2

Can someone check my math? 16% of 25% = 4% ?? So only 4% of trans students drop out due to alleged harassment?? Normal college dropout rates between first and second year are 25%!!!pic.twitter.com/Rar1Fa6dvc

But "THE MAN" (white, cis, het women students) are still massively oppressing them. There should be zero non-cis dropouts! Women's colleges need to center the kaleidoscope of "identities" other than "THE MAN" and makes sure to tell them they're "valid" 24/7, 365....

I remember a local transactivist unsuccessfully going after uni for harassment. But then a new story also mentioned flunking out due to a "math disability" caused by their HRT. Hmm... I wonder how many of that 4% had other coping/adulting issues that contributed to dropping out

Was that a news story? Would be interesting to find.

“A Powerful Network of Powerful Women.” What a painful phrase. It hurts. I just can't stand it.

It's infuriating. The complete & total lack of awareness that there might be any problems with this groupthink. Just a one-sentence mention of the "TERFs" who oppose it. Doesn't bode well for the future that these brainwashed people are the ones who'll be running the planet soon.
