In this 6-min segment, Diane Ehrensaft plays the suicide card, says 2 isn't too young to socially transition, & dismisses decades of research evidence that most kids desist and grow up to be gay. At least they had @jackdreschermd on as a voice of reason.https://www.wbur.org/hereandnow/2019/01/22/young-transgender-children …

Another researcher-clinician who has sounded the alarm about affirmative "care" is Dr. Eric Vilain. https://www.nbcbayarea.com/investigations/New-Medical-Guidelines-Open-Door-for-Transgender-Children-to-Begin-Physically-Transforming-Bodies-at-Earlier-Ages--444259043.html …pic.twitter.com/bU49pu5mEe

Update: It appears that NBC Bay Area removed the video clip showing Dr. Vilain discussing the potential harms to LG youth from early transition. Here it is on YouTube:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-wjObOeXZhA&feature=youtu.be …

They preserved another part of Vilain's interview (as well as a mom saying she'd rather have a "trans daughter than a dead son"), but removed that crucial bit. Why? Could it be because it might cause viewers to wonder if the LGB + T is an entirely healthy alliance?
