Is it possible that some people can't grasp the nature of influence that the internet has on youth, having not grown up with it? I find it easy to believe the YouTube personalities could influence vulnerable teens. I've seen some vids. I don't go on tumblr, but that too.

We're at a point where tech is actually changing our brains. Social networks online can be a huge draw. When I was a teen, we had cutting/depression and MSN messenger, where we could put emo song lyrics in our screen names.
