This is an important article, worth reading every word. Blank slatism & "biological sex is a spectrum" believers are both based in the ideological refusal to accept replicated evidence--along w/ the too-frequent conflation of *averages* w/ determinism. https://quillette.com/2018/11/30/the-new-evolution-deniers/ …

stereotypes arose from our bodily functions - "women give birth so they are nurturing". Women "had" to be nurturing when babies were in the picture, for survival of the offspring, we just don't have to be nurturing to adults for our entire lives, apart from theses moments.
-
Right: That's "enforcement". It doesn't follow that nurturing behavior demonstrated by ALL mammal mothers isn't an innate trait in females. It's a GOOD trait, but it's not deterministic, shouldn't be forced, & isn't true for all females (that's the average v individual part).

this is the stereotype: bc women "had" to be nurturing towards babies, when patriarchy came along, nurturing became one of our "things" and requested from us in all aspects of life. This is just one example of how stereotypes are constructed.

Would this the stereotype where the less nurturing mothers kept having their babies die, and so eventually became less common? Nature is just so Patriarchal
