Most parents understand that teens (understandably!) have zero interest in thinking about having/not having bio kids. But permanent sterilization is a big deal. Many ADULTS think they don't want kids & change minds later. Cutting off that option at 14 makes no sense.
Right. But again, those LG people get to decide on that as adults, not as young teens--who shouldn't even be burdened with HAVING to think about such serious matters that won't occur until many years in the future...

Yeah--those parents should not assume their kids will want to reproduce! No one should make assumptions either way. I just think it's a human rights violation to sterilize minors--it's certainly seen that way in any other context outside pediatric medical transition.
