Yes--it's striking how many of the more well known "trans kids" profiled in the US media are from conservative families who THEMSELVES admit to feeling consternation at the gender-atypical behavior of their children prior to identifying them as trans.

And the activists at forefront of the push to lower age for all kinds of transition are adult-transitioning MTFs, many of whom had successful careers and fathered children prior to transition. Not at all the same population as the "early-onset" kids crowding gender clinics today.

Will look. In at least one study, they note no one on blockers desisted and they called for more research to see if there is an iatrogenic effect (or not). Only way to really do that is with a control group that ISN'T blocked.

1/ I don't think they actually said they were GOING to study it, but I may be mistaken. In today's activist atmospher, a study that "denies" a group of children puberty blockers would be frowned upon. The study many of us would like to see would consist of...

2/ ...two groups: A group who are blocked, and another who are not but whose parents (like us) fully and completely support gender nonconformity but do not endorse the notion that the child is "in the wrong body" or "really" the opposite sex.
