Sorry, I'd have to defer to someone working in the UK on that. Thankfully in the US biological reality is not yet illegal.

"Yet" is the operative word. The US establishment is even more entrenched in extremist transgender doctrine than in the UK.

Do you think a critical mass of MDs (for the AMA) and/or pediatricians (for the AAP) could have an impact in changing their stated policies? A letter or petition signed by hundreds or thousands of docs?

So when an MD IS a member of (say) the AAP, & the AAP issues a policy w/wide-ranging impact/implications (like the one they just did), is there any way to reach member docs? Do they just not care if a policy is issued in their name even if they are skeptics or actually oppose it?

Kind of depressing. The uninformed public sees a statement like the AAP's, crafted by a minority of their membership, and thinks all 66K peds are onboard. If the docs don't protest (even if just signing a letter), for better or worse, it's seen as tacit agreement.

While it's completely understandable (for all the reasons you've stated) that they don't speak up, w/out skeptical docs, what hope is there for an extremist policy like this to be questioned? We have this but he's not an MD, or a ped--and he's in Canada. http://www.sexologytoday.org/2018/10/american-academy-of-pediatrics-policy.html …
