And yet every woman I know, thinks of me as just another woman. When I came out my friends from high school started telling me about how not one of the boys I was back then. How I just wasn't good at pretending to be a boy and all the things I said that, a boy wouldn't say etc.
She's the most prominent gender psych in the US, & she's not alone. Look, you're an adult; you do you. But there are quite a few of us w/kids who were MISDIAGNOSED. As long as you & other trans activists push for underage medical transition, you're going to get pushback.

How about starting by treating everyone as your equal first? How about treating trans people with dignity? How about actually listening to what we say about our own lived experiences? Like stop with the stereotype garbage.

The dismissal & even demonization of parents who have a very, very different take on their own kids than strangers like you on the Internet is what is causing the backlash. Trans ppl deserve to be treated kindly & with dignity. So do we. How about you start there?

Yeah, for some kids that's a more obvious marker. For a lot of others it isn't. But here's the thing you could destroy every stereotype and the number of trans people would change by 0.
