Saying "no" to men, politically, domestically, sexually, is still the most radical thing any woman can do in this culture; and women are killed for doing it, as we all know.

Replying to @Finn_Mackay
I agree: getting as far away from men as possible is the best thing for all and any woman to do (whether or not she is a lesbian) and men who claim to be ‘women’ commit sex offences at the same rate as other men

I'm just pointing out the incongruence, for example, of ppl like Posie Parker on national TV saying she wouldn't want her children changing in a cubicle next to a man, then emphasizing that she has a husband; who presumably shares home, toilet etc with her & their children.

Where has "any male who says he's a woman" come from? I was talking about ppl arguing against unisex toilets etc on grounds they don't want to go to the toilet next to someone with a penis. I find this obsession with penises being in the vicinity, in a private toilet, troubling.

No, Finn, I don’t want unisex toilets - I’m not obsessing about penises but I don’t want to share toilets with men. I know I share a bathroom with my husband but that is with consent. I’m not sure men & boys want to share with us either.

And that is your view you entitled to; but language like "share with us either" sounds like some mars vs venus narrative. I'm not talking about communal toilets, but single cubicles with sinks/sanitary bin etc. Are men & women such different species we must be apart in public?

I would hope society could provide nicer places to do that, than toilets. I think women's centres, social spaces etc, vitally important. However, your experiences are not universal, I get nothing but hostility & outright homophobia in women's toilets.

Women and girls in some other, less privileged countries might just disagree with you on the issue of sex-segregated toilets. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/single-sex-toilets-unesco-un-international-womens-day-period-a8244776.html …

It’s not just the global South. We need them, here, for the same reasons

It's sad how many Woke Women take for granted what we have in the west.
