When I first read this I thought this can't be real, it can't be?? But it is

Heck, why are they taking *any* chances at offending trans? This children's hospital should cut the genitals off all boy babies so all babies look alike. It's SO important to not offend this tiny % of delusional people, those boy babies might really be girls, take no chances!!
Maybe they’ve left a secret code denoting the sex of the patient that only doctors can understand, just in case there’s a medical reason why they need to know it.... So much of this smacks of trying to placate a toddler in a tantrum just to get it to stop crying. It doesn’t work.
So when this hospital wants to record if something is happening and to which patients it’s happening to they will just be a load of “people” who are experiencing something rather than girls or boys so that treatment and communication can be better targeted. Like ROGD maybe
The hell it isn't. Women have been fighting for decades to get recognition that women need separate research for health care for 1000's of sex based differences, including heart attacks. And now this?
Patient name, medical record number and date of birth is the essential info on the ID wristband. Male or female was removed, but this and other pertinent medical information is contained in patients’ medical records. A full assessment concluded patient safety is not impacted.
Why, exactly, do you think it's a positive step to remove "F" and "M" from patient wristbands?
