What are some good, thoughtful rebuttals to the claim that the rise in screen time/social media use can largely account for upticks in adolescent/young adult mental-health issues? I'm pretty sympathetic but wanna make sure I'm not missing something.

are you aware of the well understood phenomenon of uptick in bulimia resulting from social media? Case in Fiji with zero cases, which increased only after TV came there and girls started watching it.
