Isn't it interesting that all the people who vilify Ken Zucker conveniently ignore the fact that he recognized that some parents would rather have a heterosexual trans kid than a gay one? A topic the mainstream media refuses to touch. https://twitter.com/nevelcot/status/1012440942295560194 …

Most of the trans kids I know identify as queer or bisexual, but you keep on implying that allowing kids to transition is some sort of "conversion therapy" even though that makes zero sense.

Transgenderism is inherently homophobic. Gender therapists ARE NOT INTERESTED in whether or not a teen's desire to transition is caused by internalized homophobia or whether helping them resolve this internalization would cause desistence. Trans = preferred outcome w/them.

So you are just ignoring teens who have opposite sex attraction prior to transitioning, or teens who identify as gay/queer/bi after transitioning? Because there are as many of them as teens who id as straight after transition, if not more.

No. But you're ignoring the majority of "gender non-conforming kids" that are gay. Gay kids generally ID as straight after transition. The average age that a lesbian accepts their sexual orientation WITHOUT INTERFERENCE is 18-19 years.

I am not seeing gender nonconforming kids being pushed towards a trans identification in my part of the country. I'm seeing them being accepted as gender nonconforming at best, or pushed to conform, at worst, but no one is trying to tell these kids they must be trans.

What are your thoughts on this study, which found that homophobic name calling was a factor in youth "gender identity"? http://psycnet.apa.org/record/2017-46983-001 …
