How much of the trans trend is down to the Internet...where lonely, disaffected youth try on/discard an infinity of personas, w/their cyber-peers. Rest of the body, below the head, is irrelevant to the mindgames. A body part, just another bit of temporary, discardable costumery?

A profound alienation from nature, complete immersion in unreality online, such that the body grounded in the natural world becomes an alien meat puppet to be molded into one of a plethora of "genders"... commanded by a brain conditioned to manipulate online avatars?
