.@JerryFalwellJr, have you ever READ that book you regularly claim fealty to, the Bible?
Your belief that it's okay to be materialistic in the "earthly kingdom" guarantees you'll never make it to the "heavenly kingdom", if you actually believed in it (you clearly don't).

Sad day when a preacher tells the world that charity means money & not love. The disdain he displays for the poor - whom he seems to feel have nothing to offer - makes me wonder why he gives to them in the first place. Power? To look good?
-
It's hard to believe, but he's a worse person than his dad.

Charity can mean many things. One frigid night leaving work I was dressed in shlubby clothes & carrying several bags, a homeless man asked "Hey, sister you got a safe place to stay tonight?"

. I couldn’t read this tweet to my mother without crying.

Also, Has a “Christian” ever given a poolboy/lover a million dollars in hush money? Just curious,
@JerryFalwellJr -
It wasn't hush money. He did a spectacular job cleaning the pool. He was very thorough.
-
And the pool was deep , so it was at no small risk.
-
EXACTLY. So why all the snide comments about his compensation? Falwell was clearly being quite Christian.

“Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on.” Mark 12:43-44
