There are freedom-focused Linux distros. Not sure if Slack is one of them, but they do exist.

Calling something 'Linux' that has 0 Linux kernel code in it seems extremely problematic to me. It confuses users on what they are getting, and it subverts the name of a free software project that tons of people have contributed to to further Microsoft's proprietary system.
