300+ people are marching. Organizers began the evening under the Burnside bridge explaining the history or genocide and exploit gay was began with Columbia and continues to today. Leaders explained that they have designated legal observers in the event of police brutality
The march has paused while march leaders offer a prayer and a “song for women brec side women are sacred”
“What do we want? Land back! When do we want it? NOW!”
There is a call for all BOPOC to the front of the march
Current chant: “Kill the pipeline save the land”
LRAD has been heard, but there has not yet been any visible police presence near the march
So the earlier chant of “no good cops, no good presidents” tracks given the history of treaties, forced removal and genocide

I am separated from the main group, however while walking around there are multiple police cars on the broadway bridge. I can’t tell if these are the ones that passed me already downtown, or ones arriving from other precincts

One of the oddities of the evening was the large gap in time between the first LRAD announcement and tweet form the PPB that they knew that statues were being torn down and their actual response from my notes and their tweets almost exactly an hour.
