Someone in the crowd hollers to the neighborhood “we live in a police state! Let’s do something about it please! It can happen here!” Someone else hollers “it is currently happening!” Then more folks arrived, with lacross sticks, and there was much rejoicing.

I have frequently noted the disproportionate force used by sheriff’s deputies and PPB at these events. However, tonight I want to stress that I saw absolutely no physical aggression by protesters to provoke the police charge or unlawful assembly announcement.

It appears to be the position of the PPB that it is unlawful to peaceably assemble at a police precinct and petition the police, who are in many senses employees of the government, for a redress of grievances. And the freedom of the Press ain’t doin too hot either.
