Why are there so many orchids that look like animals!

Because they have bilateral symmetry like a lot of animals (starfish not included)

Bilatera symmetry is part of it, but orchid dracula looks like a monkey's face. Orchis simia looks like a monkey complete w head, torso, gangly limbs and tail. This orchid here looks like a duck. Weird!

Unusual, for sure, many orchids look like insects, which attracts insects for fertilization purposes, you also get other animal shapes on insects - moths with a death's head etc.

And the orchid mantis that looks like an orchid! That I understand. Obvious benefits for insects and animals to camouflage themselves or mimic something else. But all the evolutionary variations of orchids (which to the human eye appear like animals) is certainly very curious.

Orchids are in disarray. They do not respect even the basic differences between animal, plant, mammal or insect. AND they continuously attempt to be erotic, which is utterly confusing. Orchid, you are drunk. Be a good plant, be green, be predictable!
