The head in the original alien didn’t have a skull face

#Alien skull partial make-up of the 1979 #Xenomorph , without the smoked head dome that covered it in film. The skull is completely hidden by the dome when lit for most scenes in the final movie.pic.twitter.com/Fm29GbayWL

I'm not sure this is from ALIEN tho, the set and the skeletal form don't look like anything from 1979's

That's because of the lighting and translucent cowl applied over the skull. The original suit really was that impressive. https://i.pinimg.com/originals/5d/df/49/5ddf49e01065e4c6b3fc7388c1e4a712.jpg …

Thought for a sec the alien was texting on their phone. That would have been cool.

All the years I've loved that alien and this is the first time I've noticed the skull - was this actually used in the film?

you usually can't see it as it has that opaque shell covering it, but it's always been there.
