    F. W. Murnau's Nosferatu was banned in Sweden due to excessive horror. The ban was lifted in 1972pic.twitter.com/TwTwExqM4K

The first time I watched Nosferatu was in St. John’s Cathedral in Spokane, Washington. It was at midnight on Halloween and accompanied by the cathedral organ. It was amazing sitting in that old darkened place watching a horror classic!pic.twitter.com/blO2sKfkQg

Nosferatu himself had a creepy/haunting feeling to him but am I the only one who found him less creepy and more hilarious? I love nosferatu so much he always makes me laugh lol. This film along the one in 1979 are masterpieces!

Is the 1979 version creepy much?

yes especially the intro. its also more depressing and deep. Werner herzog (the director) did a brilliant job combining nature and horror. I absolutely recommend you to watch it. I consider that movie a spectacular piece of art! One of my absolute favorties! A sheer masterpiece.

It took 30 years of Bergman films, but it finally worked.

That will always be the creepiest vampyr ever then Salem’s lot because he looked like Nosferatu in an even clearer presentation
