Watched this with my partner after he told me it was great. It's one of those films that's so bad it's good. Best part was seeing Godzilla smacking his son round the head.

Godzilla didn’t hit his son in the movie (although there is one scene at the beginning where his tail accidentally hits him over the head while he’s fighting three giant mantises).

Yes Godzilla did, he also dragged his son along by his tale, as he was being a brat. I remember watching this for the first time in 1972 BBC2 as part of the Saturday matinée series. Love this film.
