I became a fan of Albright's when I saw this and a couple of other pieces on a visit to Chicago last summer. The Art Institute will have an exhibit on Albright beginning May 4th this year. Wish I could see it, but if you're in Chicago, you gotta go!

thank you so much!
Drink. Girls. Feck.
Aterrador. Me produjo pesadillas de niño tras su pase en TV.
Saw this film when I was traveling with my family to Spain. I was nine and could not sleep for the rest of the trip, all because of the reveal of that painting.
I'm still amazed at how powerful that reveal is in that movie. Even when I'm prepared for it.
Much too powerful for a nine year old, at least. I will have to revisit it soon, if I dare.
Loved this, and the movie was excellent. The painting was used to perfect effect, and the lead actor was stupendous in the role.
This painting is SO AMAZING in context— the reveal is the only colour shot in a black/white film with otherwise immaculate, clean, severe lines throughout. Hurd Hatfield was perfectly cast as Dorian:pic.twitter.com/6B3XT8Q7Qn
I've read the story many times and wondered what the painting would look like... this is brilliant.
Just watched it today in fact - brilliant movie. I'm really enjoying your twitter feed btw, thanks for posting lots of cool stuff!
That's my favorite all time novel. It's absolutely amazing.
When I was in New York, it must've been the MOMA that had the Ivan Albright exhibit at the time, & I spent hours in there. One of my all time favorites.
Dorian Gray references never get old, do they?
