I saw it in a theater when it was first released. A life-changing movie for me, in an odd way. Decades later, I got to interview Ib Melchior in front of and audience. He was 96, still in focus, and charming.

監督、脚本のイブ・メルキオールは戦時中ＯＳＳの工作員だったそうで、そんな人がアイデアがキラっと光るＳＦ映画を撮って、ナチスを題材にした小説も書いていたという人生が面白いですね。

『冷凍獣レプティリカス』にも参加してましたね。

メルキオールはデンマーク人だったので、その縁でデンマークで製作された「レプティリカス」に関わったようですね。この映画、怪獣もさる事ながら、デンマーク軍が協力しているのでセンチュリオンなんか出てきて、楽しいです。
