        #Surrealism was surprisingly popular with Polish artists, perhaps to show the absurdity of life in a repressive Communist dictatorship. It may also have been a reaction against the longer tradition of Polish Romanticism in literature and Soviet Realism in cinema.

        Psychedelic paintings are the best. Who was that (Flemish?) or (Dutch?) painter in the medieval times who rendered images of the end of the world and judgement day and such? Those paintings were psychedelic too I think
