This film captures the essense of Poe's tale perfectly. The mounting torment of guilt, the pounding of the conscience.

I adore Poe's work. I learned to speak English at the age of 12, and The Tell Tale Heart was one of the first things that I read in my school in Massachussets. Needless to say that it scared me, and this movie just burned it forever in my brain. Love it!
