I had Shel Silverstein's books as a kid. Actually wrote some children's poems inspired by his work.https://twitter.com/41Strange/status/953761433757429760 …

Shel also wrote some incredible country hits, including "Boy Named Sue" sung by Johnny Cash; "Hey Loretta" sung by Loretta Lynn; and "Cover of the Rolling Stone" sung by Dr. Hook & the Medicine Show. Many more too! Talented guy.

Born in 1999 and read some children's poetry by Silverstein as a child and loved it- never knew it was released in the 70s.
