watched this for the first time ever a few weeks ago. So ahead of its time, so gloriously weird lol, there's no other movie like it and that's no exaggeration.

It's not really explained in the book, if I remember correctly, the film is not a faithful adaptation but a reinterpretation.

Saw this at a drive in movie when I was a kid. It was 2nd movie in a double feature. First movie was family friendly then this! I think my parents didn't realize the 2nd movie was the one for the teenage tokers & we stayed to watch. Yep, weird stuff & bad dreams!
