To get it to look like that, yes. Most kids don't have an angular face like that. IRC, that one was paper towels soaked in coffee? There were a couple of mummies in the book as I remember it.

Blast from the past! My dad had this book! My lil' bro and I were one of the monsters from it year after year. Hard to see through those ping pong ball eyes!

I honestly feel sorry for any kid that didn't grow up with this book on their shelf, and didn't do their own make up from it for at least one Halloween.
