  I love Melies' work -- but as a graphic artist, not a filmmaker. It's beautiful, creative work. But he never understood film syntax. Nothing he did even reached the heights of "The Great Train Robbery" much less "What Shall We Do with Our Old?" But he's still more fun to watch.
