tbh i don’t support scaleless snakes being purposefully bred. BUT since it is happening: please be extra gentle with them and don’t put rough or pokey things in their homes. scales protect them & without them the snake is vulnerable and sensitive. be nice to living things please
-
I know next to nothing about keeping snakes but I thought those wood chips looked a little rough for a sensitive and scaleless snake like this.
-
i haven’t looked closely @ care for a scaleless snake specifically but wood chips aren’t good for really any snake. must be doubly uncomfortable for the naked lil dude

we need to be kinder to snek

Okay but how long will he be naked like that?? I’m worried

-
It's bred to look like that
-
But doesn’t it need scales??
-
(Pet) Snakes only need scales on their underbelly, scaleless snakes have belly scales.
-
But there has been some debate on the scaless morph because of the health issues it could cause
-
Ye, personally I'm not a fan of scaleless snakes. They need them for protection imo even if they are in captivity
