She still looks great with fake bird scratches. What is this sorcery

I just read this: Pecked, bloodied and exhausted, Hedren finally collapsed, crying hysterically. She had to be carried off the set and put in the care of a doctor, who ordered her to rest for a week. Handlers were throwing birds at her.
-
:0 oh Welp Excuse meeee ~she still looks somehow great though~
-
Oh no, I'm sorry, yes that was makeup and she did look great! It was when they filmed it she got pecked for real.
-
Oh haha okie >o<“ I misinterpreted what you meant. But oh gosh I didn’t know she was actually pecked when they filmed :(. Reminds me of Shelley Duvall
-
What happened to Shelley Duvall!

-
I think a bunch of stuff went down but here is a bit I found that had some important information “Shelley showed him the clumps of hair that she had lost one day while filming....Duvall was sometimes mistreated, being forced to film the scene in the movie over 127 times”
-
In The Shining? Let me go find that. You know I never saw her again after that Popeye thing.

Hitchcock was known for torturing his actors which she recalls in this article:https://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/film/starsandstories/9753977/Tippi-Hedren-interview-Hitchcock-put-me-in-a-mental-prison.html …

Is this after Hitch tried feeling her up in the car and she fought him off? Or is this the damage Hitch did when throwing all the birds at her face? I wish I could enjoy Hitchcock movies again...
