This reminds me of a tv series. I think it was called The Faces of Death. In one episode a hotel ballroom or something was being renovated. On one wall there was a grimacing face on it. It was painted over but it kept resurfacing over and over again.
Oh. Every team it was painted over and the face resurfaced, the grimace on its face became more severe. I think they end up blocking that section of the room off so guests couldn't get near it.
