The movie was a mockery of the book. They're coming out with a TV series based on the books, much like Game of Thrones. Anne Rice is involved, it should be good.

She says that now, but she was pretty upset when they announced Tom Cruise as Lestat, and was very vocal about it. He's not Lestat. She backtracked quickly, I'm thinking the studio had a talk with her.
