Cat/pigeon: technically amazing, supreme, stunning. But is this art? Is the art not in the composition, the whole that induces an emotion? If you have to apply a magnifying glass to appreciate the beauty is it no more artistic than the pixels of an 8k TV?
-
No... it’s art.

I’m always amazed by realistic paintings because you can tell that they’re not photos. There’s a quality to paint that just keeps it just out of being photographic. It’s a human touch
-
I showed my mom the first pick and said "isn't she pretty?" She said yes, I told her it's a painting and she took my phone to further inspect lmao, she's in shock

A wery good work... But... Don't know... A camera could do the same isn't?
-
As much as a camera can show that level of detail, it's a device that could only *capture* what's already there. This however, was *created* from scratch by a human being. As far as I'm concerned, the latter is a lot more impressive.
