This is actually the beginning of a sort of cemetery/artificial reef. Your ashes get mixed in to cement &built in to the various structures, & your "spot" is marked with a named & dated copper plaque.

I'll probably be there as well. They were always going in the ocean but I like this spot.

Go to their website, you can make all of the arrangements in advance, including cremation. Your friends can even dive along as you're cemented into place, if they want. Or, gang out in a boat on the surface and watch video.

I remember when I went diving to see it, the only coral growing on it was fire coral. You couldn't touch any part of the statue without the equivalent to underwater welding gloves.
