My friend tried to teach me how to do this when we were in 7th grade its such an intense motion its almost avatar-esque. U basically have to collect as much energy in ur body as u can from your foot to your hand and then transfer it directly into the other person without budging

But how much of this is just his target playing along?
-
I've had this done to me by a classmate who was so obsessed with Bruce Lee that everyone called him Bruce. He made me put on padding and a helmet and I thought he was so full of shit. He knocked me so hard on my ass that I bit my tongue.

Bruce was so unparalleled to the point that he could have had brief superhuman abilities.
-
He did. He was so fast that the camera couldn't capture his movements during action sequences. They had to film him in slow motion. That man has extraordinarily fast reflexes. He was too fast for the naked eye.
-
Is it true that it was the same case for Danny Yen in IP man?
-
Donnie Yen is good, and if I remember correctly he is trained in multiple disciplines. But I don't think he, or anybody else, can ever match up to Bruce Lee. Nobody can, Bruce was one of a kind.
-
Bruce Lee is the king..Those IP Man movies were the SHIT too though lol. That Wing Chun is a real powerful fighting style. And of course the coincidence here is that the guy Yen was portraying in those movies (IP Man) was the one who trained Bruce Lee.
-
The real IP Man was said to be almost supernatural in his moves. Thing is in old days martial arts were practiced like martial arts. The training was hard and ruthless. There was no fear or concern about bruises and broken bones. Nowadays it's watered-down.

looks impressive but what is the psi on those punches? watching him push an unknown amount of weight against an unknown amount friction really says nothing.
-
Nerd much?
-
yeah absolutely, im also more interested in facts and reality than myth and stunts
-
I kinda agree with you but Bruce Lee was not a myths and stunts man. That dude was a legend. They're not doing it on marble floors so it looks like there a fair amount of friction. His 6inch punch is fucking amazing.

are his ribs ok
-
it looks so, if I’ve read it correctly Ribs are not as brittle as most folks think and even then the costal caralage between the ribs and sternum allow a dregree of flex. I could not say for sure though at that speed and range of the shot
-
Translation: Ribs are strong and slightly bendy which adds some more strength.
-
that means his breathing tube must have been destroyed
-
Allegedly the guy on the receiving end had trouble breathing and chest pain for several days after.
-
he had protection btw, you can see it flying away lol
-
oh yea. well damn that protection is gonna have a lot of trouble breathing. let me tell u that
