Actually true, they left rubbish and human waste up there. It's ok though, space radiation and sunlight exposure will have bleached and disintegrated it mostly by now.

Oh i highly recommend reading watchmen. Its even more pertinent now the mcu movies has dominated the movie media, you'll understand the tropes its breaks down and the subtext to it. Much easier to read nowadays.

Unfortunately, due to the radiation exposure it has received on the moon because of the lack of atmosphere, it would have long since faded to a resemble some white-greyish blur.

Here's what he said of it in 2015: "...the temperature of the moon every month goes up to 400 F in our landing area and at night it drops almost absolute zero, shrink wrap doesn't turn out too well in those temperatures... and I would imagine it's all faded out by now."
