Dang! That’s amazing and terrifying at the same time
I had a similar experience when I was a kid, but it was with bats... I woke up one night to something scratching at the open window and my screen was entirely covered with bats. 
it was pretty horrific. -

A raccoon stalked me over a weekend camping once. I saw him several times and he always seemed to be within a few feet of me. No one else saw him, he darted away every time i tried to point him out.
