They can also use them as rotors to generate lift and fly up into the trees
-
If the tail loses its squirrel it grows another one.

This plays right into the Greek etymology of their name--"skiouros" which means "shade tail".

They talk with their tails. They have a sign language you can see from a hundred yards away. They're a blast to watch.
-
They talk with their tails? Neat. I didn’t know that. :)
-
Yep. It's a type of sign language. I always have several on the patio, now in fact. After watching, I can make out basic messages.

a few of mine have somewhat different tails here in the southwest. one in particular had a tail that resembled a rat tail (thicc) but now its super thick with fur but kind of short. evolution. love the lil munchkins. At one point we were hanging out in trees. now we smoke them.
-
Interesting, makes sense too since you don’t probably get a lot of snow or rain there... Many varieties of Sciuridae. Could be ground squirrels?
-
It snows here in the rockies but not going to pretend it hasnt been getting hotter. <3
-
Aha. I hear southwest and think more Arizona, New Mexico, Texas.

I think you should create an account that will be named 41cute (even though it has nothing to do with the book
) everybody will just know that its you, who will be owning the account. Some sort of subdivision
