They're short legged so that cows can't kick them as easily while herding, so not originally for aesthetic at all & mobility is key! They're also a very healthy breed for one that was brough back from the brink after ww2

so cute. We took in a dog that only knew Spanish commands. She was really smart if you knew how to command her in Spanish 
and we found out she loved watermelon
