Actually, it isn't a baby owl, but a Athene noctua, or Little Owl. This species is quite easy to keep by Falconry fans.

This right here is why I red the comment section. In falconry, I always heard owls where tricky and rather aggressive. An 'easy keep" must be an exception. I will look into this. At the every least, I would train recall. With envelopes.

Well, Little Owls and American Krestels are the easier prey birds to keep. They happen to be small, nice and less demanding than other species such as peregrine falcons or eagles. Just take a look and you'll see mostly of prey birds-pets belong to these species.
